CBD and THC for Glioblastoma Treatment

In May 2010, Study on Cannabidiol (CBD) and Δ9-Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) for Glioblastoma Treatment.

BACKGROUND:

This study explored how CBD and THC can work together to fight glioblastoma. Glioblastoma is a fast-growing and deadly brain cancer. Researchers tested CBD and THC on human glioblastoma cells. They looked at the effects of each compound alone and in combination.

METHODS AND RESULTS:

The combination of CBD and THC was more effective at slowing tumor cell growth than either alone. This research suggests that combining cannabinoids may improve glioblastoma treatments.
